Kevin McGreskin confirmed as NSCAA Featured Clinician


Kevin McGreskin has been confirmed as one of the Featured Clinicians at the upcoming 2014 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia.

The NSCAA Convention is the biggest soccer coaching event in the world consisting of 4 days packed solid with lectures and field. This year's event promises to be as good as ever with a long list of high-calibre presenters and an expected attendance of over 10,000 coaches.

Kevin last presented at Kansas City 2012 and this year will be expanding upon those ideas and offering fresh insights into developing elite performance. The sessions are scheduled as follows:

Kevin McGreskin Invited to Speak at Arctic Football Forum
Kevin McGreskin has been invited to speak at the inaugural Arctic Football Forum, which will be held in Helsinki on 28th-29th of May 2014.

The event is an international conference dedicated to providing the latest information on football Performance Development and Leadership & Strategy, with leading professionals and academics speaking and sharing information.

The forum will be a driving force in the continuing development of football in the region by providing the opportunity for the arctic football community to come together, learn, network and share best practice.

Soccer eyeQ Presents to SC Heerenveen Coaches
Kevin McGreskin recently travelled to Holland to present the Soccer eyeQ methodology to the coaching staff of SC Heerenveen.

The club, currently managed by Marco van Basten, are a forward-thinking progressive club who have a strong focus on youth development and are continully looking to embrace the latest innovations in improving player performance.

The coaching staff at SC Heerenveen have shown their willingness to embrace new ideas by becoming one of the first clubs to implement the unique ECO-Coach program developed by Berber van den Berg, who is a former international gymnast now working with athletes from a number of sports.

Kevin presented a short classroom lecture at the Abe Lenstra Stadion before moving to the training ground to conduct a practical field session with some of the players.

The day was finished with a Q&A session and some great feedback was received from the SC Heerenveen coaches who were positive about it's benefits, particularly for youth development.
 Croatian Football Federation UEFA Pro Licence

Kevin McGreskin returned to Zagreb to continue his work with the Croatian Football Federation by presenting on their recent UEFA Pro Licence course.

The UEFA Pro Licence is the highest level coaching award in Europe and the course presentations included a classroom lecture on Developing Cognitive Performance in the morning, followed by an afternoon field session of practical exercises.

Kevin was kindly presented with a Croatia National team top by Vratoslav Mihacic (right) and Boris Kubla of the the CFF.
 Irish FA UEFA Courses in Belfast

Kevin McGreskin continued his close relationship with the Irish Football Association and recently spent a week in Belfast presenting on a variety of their UEFA coaching courses.

During the course of the week McGreskin gave game awareness and cognitive performance workshops on the UEFA A & B Licence courses as well as delivering CPD days for UEFA Pro, A & B Licence holders.

The quality of the courses offered by the Irish FA consistently attracts high calibre applicants from around the world, and this year was no exception with Jason DeVos (former Canada National Team Captain), Shay Given (Republic of Ireland International) and Ian Hendon (West Ham United First Team Coach) amongst those in attendance.

Croatian Football Federation UEFA A Licence Course

Kevin McGreskin was invited to present on the Croatian Football Federation UEFA A Licence course, delivering a module on Developing Game Awareness & Cognitive Performance.

The Croatian Football Federation has a world class reputation for the development of their coaches at all levels of the game, and the Croatian national team is currently ranked number 4 in the world.

The UEFA A Licence is for elite coaches from around the country and the candidates included ex-internationals Alen Boksic (current national team assistant manager), Marko Babic and Igor Biscan.

The course was held at the Croatian Football Federation Academy in Zagreb with a classroom presentation in the morning, which was consolidated with a field session on their 3G facility in the afternoon.

Soccer eyeQ working with Molde FK

Kevin McGreskin was recently invited to Norway to work with Tippeligaen Champions Molde FK.

The club, currently managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have enjoyed unprecedented success by winning back to back league titles.  Mark Demspey (assistant manager), Rene Skovdahl and Rich Hartis (all pictured)  are key members of Solskjaer's management team, and they proved to be the perfect hosts during Kevin's four day visit.

Molde FK are a well run club with good facilities, all with the added benefit of the most amazing scenery enjoyed by any football club in the world!  The stadium is build right on the edge of the idyllic fjord and the training fields are set against the backdrop of the beautiful snow covered mountains.

As well as delivering a classroom presentation and a field session for the club's coaching staff, Kevin also delivered some coaching sessions for players whilst there.

Soccer eyeQ working with GNK Dinamo Zagreb

Soccer eyeQ Technical Director, Kevin McGreskin, was invited by GNK Dinamo Zagreb Academy Director Romeo Jozak (pictured, left) to visit the Croatian National Champions.

The club have an outstanding reputation for developing world class players, with Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Dejan Lovren and Eduardo da Silva all having graduated through their academy.

Kevin delivered both a classroom and field session for the coaching staff of the club, working with the youth squad currently coached by Igor Cvitanovic (pictured, right) who is Dinamo's all-time leading goal scorer in the Croatian National League.

Kevin was recently interviewed by Dundee United website channel Arabzone as he continues his partnership with Jackie McNamara, who has been appointed as manager of the Scottish Premier League club.

Powerade Sports Sports Academy London 2012 Olympics

Kevin McGreskin was involved with the London 2012 Olympics as part of the Powerade Sports Academy.

The Powerade Sports Academy was an exclusive 3-day event held for athletes and coaches from around the world.

Kevin was invited to coach at the academy by football4football, a Powerade Olympic partner, because of the innovative nature of the Soccer eyeQ methodology and the unique experience that it would provide for the participants.

Soccer eyeQ Clinic in South Africa with Hellenic FC

Soccer eyeQ Technical Director, Kevin McGreskin recently delivered a hugely successful clinic for Hellenic FC in Cape Town, South Africa.

Here he is pictured with the club Director of Football, Mark Byrne (left), and the Chairman of Hellenic FC, Andre Kinnear.  Mark and Andre are working hard to restore the famous Hellenic FC club to it's position of one of the premier clubs in Cape Town, and South Africa.

The clinic was delivered as part of the club's commitment to the continuous professional development of it's coaching staff, and Hellenic FC also invited a number of local coaches from around the Cape Town area.
